Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Dequincy Malik Brown-Nix, 26, on five counts of child exploitation and one count of sexual battery.

According to charging documents, Brown-Nix is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old on Oct. 18 in Jackson County. He had previously been arrested on an additional count of sexual battery for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old on Oct. 16, also in Jackson County.

Brown-Nix is also charged with one count of child exploitation for allegedly possessing a video depicting a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Additional child exploitation charges allege Brown-Nix solicited minors to meet him for sex or to engage in sexually explicit activity.

Brown-Nix is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in February before County Court Judge Mark Watts.
