Car full of meth seized during I-10 traffic stop, but no arrest made. Here’s why
Authorities seized 123 pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop Wednesday on Interstate 10 near Pass Christian, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office said.
A deputy stopped a car hauler for a traffic violation at 11:42 a.m. near Exit 24, according to the sheriff’s office. Authorities found the methamphetamine hidden inside a Honda Odyssey on the car hauler.
The sheriff’s office said the drugs were heading for Gulfport.
Authorities announced no arrests on Thursday but said the driver of the car hauler was released and is not a person of interest in the case.
