3 arrested, stolen guns found, after armed robbery outside Coast restaurant

Three suspects were arrested this week after police said a victim was robbed in a Zaxbys parking lot in Biloxi.

Officers responded at 6:30 p.m. Sunday to the restaurant in the 2400 block of Pass Road. The victim reported the suspects stole a cell phone and gun, said Lt. Candace Young, a public information officer for Biloxi Police.

On a search warrant, the department’s Emergency Services Unit found “multiple” stolen guns in a nearby apartment, Young said. Police arrested three suspects: Richard Smith of Biloxi, Kamrin Matunda of Gulfport, and Rafael Johnson Jr. of Gulfport.

All face armed robbery charges and are being held in the Harrison County jail on $250,000 bonds. Young said the victim knew one of the suspects.
