Coast woman came back for phone lost while robbing Dollar General, police say

A woman accused of robbing a Dollar General in Gulfport was arrested on Monday after police said she returned to the store to find her cellphone.

Officers went at 9:32 p.m. Sunday to the store at 12600 Dedeaux Road after a report that the woman held up a gun and demanded money, Gulfport police Lt. Jason DuCre said.

Jessinya Faye Ezell, 34, of Gulfport was arrested and faces one count of armed robbery.

Police said Ezell fought with an employee before leaving the store with an “undisclosed” amount of money.

Officers arrested Ezell when she returned to ask about a cellphone she apparently dropped during the robbery, DuCre said.

Ezell is held in the Harrison County jail on a $100,000 bond.
