Authorities arrest ‘armed and dangerous’ teenage suspect in shooting at MS Coast hotel

Authorities have arrested a teenage suspect who police say shot and injured a man Wednesday morning at the Magnolia Inn in Gautier.

Police identified the suspect as Brandon Marquise Price, Jr., 19, of Gautier and said he will face an aggravated assault charge.

Gautier Police were searching for Price on Wednesday. Authorities had warned he was “armed and dangerous” but said by Thursday morning that Price was in custody.

Officers responded after 10 a.m. Wednesday to a reported shooting at the Magnolia Inn on Highway 90, according to a news release.

Police said a 41-year-old man with non life-threatening injuries left for a hospital in a private vehicle before officers arrived.

Authorities said Price allegedly fled in a black 2011 Toyota Camry with Mississippi license plate JHJ 442.
