Three injured, one arrested after separate shootings at Ocean Springs bar, hookah lounge

Two separate shootings on Sunday left three people injured and one arrested in Ocean Springs, according to the Ocean Springs Police Department.

Sunday night at 10:22 p.m., officers were called to the Blu Heat Hookah Lounge after a report of more than a dozen shots being fired.

OSPD reported multiple vehicles were hit by gunfire and, while no injuries were discovered at the scene, an adult and a juvenile were found at Biloxi Merit Hospital ER with gunshot wounds. Officers were told the shooting was in response to the botched robbery of a PlayStation 5.

Also on Sunday, officers responded to a shooting at the Julep Room, where a fight had been reported. Upon arrival, officers found one person with a gunshot wounds to the leg. During this investigation, tips from witnesses provided officers with information that led to the arrest of Vincent Jenkins of Pascagoula.

Jenkins’ bond has been set at $1 million and he is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
