MS Coast ‘armed and dangerous’ suspect captured, facing two counts of first-degree murder

Gulfport Police announced the capture of Christopher Antoine Davis, a suspect they called “armed and dangerous” after officers rushed to a home Tuesday night and found two people shot dead, authorities said.

Police responded at 7:49 p.m. Tuesday to a shooting in the 550 block of Graves Avenue, Gulfport police said a news release early Wednesday morning.

They found two people inside the home dead with gunshot wounds.

Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer identified the victims as Koritnik Graves, 52, and Elena Davis, 50. He said both were from Gulfport.

Christopher Antoine Davis, 51, is wanted on two counts of first degree murder in connection to their deaths. Christopher Davis was married to Elena Davis, Gulfport Police Lt. Jason Ducre said.

Police allege Christopher Davis shot the victims multiple times and fled the scene, the news release said.

Switzer said Graves lived at the home with his mother. He said Graves and Davis were found dead in the living room with multiple gunshot wounds. Autopsies are scheduled next week.

Police described Christopher Davis as 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, with brown eyes, a beard and “salt-and-pepper hair.” Authorities are asking anyone who knows about the killings or his whereabouts to call the Gulfport Police Department at 228-868-5959 or Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers at 877-787-5898.
