What started as a fight in Moss Point ended in a road rage shooting and crash on Interstate 10 that left two men wounded from gunshots, Gautier police say.

Police were called the area of I-10 near the Martin Bluff Road overpass at 2 a.m. on Saturday and found the two victims and two crashed vehicles.

The victim’s vehicle was shot by people in another vehicle while both were traveling westbound on I-10, and both cars crashed into each other, Police Chief David Bever said.

Three men fled the scene and have not yet been found. The two victims were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Bever said the investigation shows the shooting occurred on the interstate following a fight between the two groups in Moss Point.

Anyone with information about this crime should call Gautier police at 228-497-2486.
