Police searching for man involved in armed robbery at Gulfport Premium Outlets
A man is wanted by the Gulfport Police Department on an armed robbery charge after allegedly robbing a business at Gulfport Premium Outlets on Tuesday.
According to police, a man entered a business at the outlet mall and pointed a weapon at a victim. The man then ordered the victim to empty the contents of the register into his bag.
Michael Shun Schaffran had already fled before officers arrived at 6:18 p.m. on Tuesday, authorities said.
According to Gulfport PIO Jason Ducre, Schaffran is known to the Gulfport Police Department already and is homeless. Ducre said the robbery occurred during business hours, but was unsure if customers were in the business at the time.
