Do you recognize these tattoos? Help ID homicide victim found in water near Ocean Springs

Jackson County sheriff’s investigators said they are hoping the public will recognize the tattoos and help identify a man whose body was found in the water off the Mississippi Gulf Coast June 30.

The body was discovered off Belle Fontaine beach near the St. Andrews community, east of Ocean Springs.

The tattoos are described as:

  • One on his chest that says “Sticks”
  • A “TE” on his left arm
  • A blue “V” on his left thigh

The man was wearing a blue “Evening in Paris” T-shirt, khaki shorts, brown belt and blue and white Under Armour shoes.

He also had on an “HIV Confidential” bracelet and a “Know Your Status Be in Control” bracelet.

This case is being treated as a homicide and Sheriff John Ledbetter says an autopsy is pending.

Anyone who recognizes the tattoos or clothing, or has any information, is asked to call the sheriff’s department at 228-769-7063.
