One dead in Gulfport shooting, coroner says
One person died after a shooting Thursday morning in Gulfport, authorities said.
Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer confirmed the death but could not immediately provide further information.
Gulfport Police said they were investigating the fatal shooting at 11:36 a.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of Debra Drive. The street is off Three Rivers Road and Klein Road in the Orange Grove community.
Police did not provide further information and did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
GPD said on Twitter that more details would be available and asked residents to avoid the area.
