Faulk was a beloved member of the Coast community for years before allegations of wrongdoing against him surfaced.

Faulk resignation from office July 2021 came after the Office of the State Medical Examiner suspended his certification. The suspension occurred in the aftermath of a search by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics at his home and office.

The state Medical Examiner’s Office said Faulk’s certification was suspended over his alleged “potential failure to comply” with mandatory reporting requirements to the Department of Child Protective Services on child deaths and to the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics on overdose deaths.
