Man wanted in Gulfport killing should be considered armed and dangerous, police say
Gulfport police have identified a suspect wanted on a murder charge in a Tuesday morning homicide inside of a unit at Cypress Lake apartments.
Royce Alexander Barthelemy, 28, is accused of shooting 39-year-old Ricky Davis to death inside of the victim’s apartment.
Police said Barthelemy is 6 feet, weighs about 150 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair. He should also be considered armed and dangerous.
One person has already been arrested in connection to the homicide. Renee Patricie Barthelemy, 44, of Gulfport was arrested on a charge of hindering prosecution on Tuesday evening. It is not clear what the relationship is between Renee Barthelemy and Royce Barthelemy.
At 6:41 a.m. Tuesday, police officers responded to Cypress Lane Apartments on 29th Street for a report of suspicious circumstances.
When they arrived, they found a man deceased. Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer identified the victim, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, as 39-year-old Ricky Davis. Davis was shot inside of his apartment, Switzer said.
Renee Barthelemy is being held at the Harrison County jail on a $50,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Nick Patano.
