Woman in town for Cruisin’ The Coast dies after vehicle hits her 1957 Chevy Bel Air
A woman visiting South Mississippi for Cruisin’ The Coast died Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 49, Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer told the Sun Herald.
Sherry Arrington, 67, was with her husband in their 1957 Chevy Bel Air and headed southbound on the highway when another car cut across from the northbound lane and them. The wreck occurred around 1 p.m., Switzer said.
Arrington, from Terry, was killed and her husband was transported to Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg and is in stable condition, Switzer said.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Memorial Hospital at Gulfport is also in stable condition.
