Pascagoula man arrested on first degree murder charge in Moss Point killing
A Pascagoula man is being held on a first degree murder charge after turning himself into Moss Point police Sunday night.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the 4100 block of Molden Street in west Moss Point about 11:15 p.m. Sunday and found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot sounds, Moss Point Police Chief Brandon Ashley said in a press release.
The victim, identified as 37-year-old Kevin Larae Hardiman of Pascagoula, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives identified David Brennen Mitchell, 36, as their primary suspect. Mitchell, of Pascagoula, turned himself in to police during the investigation, Ashley said.
Mitchell is in police custody and is held on a $250,000 bond set by Judge Keith Miller.
