Biloxi police use Taser, arrest woman after she strikes officer, viral video shows
A video of a women being arrested Sunday in a parking lot on U.S. 90 in Biloxi over the weekend is going viral.
The video shows a woman in a blue shirt and a police officer circling each other in a parking lot as the officer tells her she’s under arrest.
The woman lunges, pushes and strikes the officer as he’s trying to detain her, the video published to Facebook shows. When the officer deploys a Taser that strikes her, the suspect barely flinches then pulls it out of her body. The video stops as the officer grabs her wrists and attempts to place her under arrest.
The video, which was filmed in a parking lot filled with classic cars near Big Play, has been shared thousands of times on Facebook.
Biloxi police Capt. Milton Houseman said the encounter occurred after police were called to respond to a large number of cars in a parking lot. Officers were attempting to clear the parking lot when they encountered the woman, who Houseman says was acting belligerent.
She was near a police vehicle when officers asked her to step away and she declined.
In the video the women is heard saying, “You don’t work for my company.”
The women has been arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, Houseman said. He declined to identify her.
