Coroner identifies man killed by multiple gunshot wounds in Gulfport

Gulfport police are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead Sunday.

The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside of a home in the 1200 block of 43rd Avenue, Gulfport police Sgt. Jason Ducré said.

Police were called to the crime scene at about 5:45 p.m. Sunday. Ducré said Monday that no arrests have been made in the case and investigators are developing leads and canvasing the area.

Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer identified the victim as 24-year-old Kevon Edwards of Gulfport.

Switzer said the autopsy was performed Monday and Edwards died of multiple gunshot wounds.
