Autopsy planned for 4-year-old girl who died after incident at Biloxi apartments
An autopsy is planned for a 4-year-old girl who died at a hospital Tuesday after an incident at a Biloxi apartment complex.
Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer said he has not decided if he will release the identity of young girl, but an autopsy could be performed as early as Thursday.
The child lived at Elmwood Apartments on Lawrence Road, just off Pass Road.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the girl sustained injuries while in the company of two adults, Biloxi police said in a release.
Police were called to the 2000 block of Lawrence Street at 2:19 p.m. on Tuesday for a 911 medical emergency.
The girl was taken to an area hospital and died there, the release said. The death is under investigation, and no charges have yet been filed.
