A 2nd person was shot during gunfight at Cruisin’. Biloxi police are looking for 2 cars.

A second person was shot Wednesday night in a gunfight between two vehicles during Cruisin’ The Coast, police say.

Capt. Brian Dykes said the second victim arrived at a local hospital for treatment several hours after the incident, which happened about 9:45 p.m. near Rodenberg Avenue. He is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The second person is suspected to have been part of the shootout, Dykes said, but that is still under investigation.

A bystander in the crowd, in Biloxi for Cruisin’ The Coast car show, was shot in the chest during the gunfight. He was hospitalized in serious but stable condition.

Biloxi police are asking for the public to help identify the drivers of the the two vehicles involved — a silver Nissan sedan and a black Dodge Charger.

“They were not cruisers,” he said, but newer vehicles.

Dykes said gunshots were reported at two other large events on the Coast this year.

A pedestrian was struck in a hit and run on U.S. 90b this week but had non life-threatening injuries, he said.
