2 dead after Sunday night parking lot shooting, chase in Biloxi, police say

Two men are dead after a parking lot shooting in Biloxi.

The shooting happened about 9:30 p.m. Sunday at the Oak Shore Condominiums, according to a news release.

When police arrived, they found a 53-year-old man who had been shot several times. He died at the scene.

Witnesses told police the shooting occurred after a brief altercation. They also gave police a description of the alleged shooter and the direction he was headed.

An officer near the Popp’s Ferry Bridge spotted the man in traffic and tried to pull him over, according to the release.

The man would not pull over, police said. Officers continued to follow him and later stopped the vehicle on Mississippi 43 in Hancock County.

The 48-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of death and the names of the men have not been released.
