Singing River Credit Union robbed in Lucedale, sheriff says

The George County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the robbery of a Lucedale credit union that took place at about 2:30 p.m. Monday.

The sheriff’s department received a 911 call alleging that a man entered the Singing River Federal Credit Union in Lucedale, approached a teller, and implied that he was armed.

A few minutes later, the man left in a blue Ford Escape with an undisclosed amount of money.

The sheriff’s department did not yet have the tag or year model for the car.

The sheriff’s department asks for anyone with information on the incident to call 601-947-4811.
