Man found shot on the side of the road in Jackson County, sheriff says

A 43-year-old Escatawpa man is hospitalized in Alabama after suffering injuries in a shooting Wednesday, Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said in a release.

The man, who has not been identified, was found on the side of the road on Mississippi 613 around 10 a.m., the release said.

No other details have been released and the investigation is continuing.

The man is receiving treatment at University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile.
