Biloxi man charged with murder after deadly fight
A Biloxi man was arrested Monday and charged with second-degree murder.
Matthew Cole Reid, 26, is being held in the Harrison County jail on $1 million bail set by Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain.
Biloxi Police said Reid struck the victim with a metal object during a fight Sunday in the 700 block of Monie Vista Drive.
The victim, Michael Lepoma, 51, of D’Iberville, was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery, said Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer. He died from his injuries.
An autopsy will be performed this week, Switzer said.
Biloxi Police said interviews and evidence led them to identify Reid as the suspect.
