Gulfport police search for suspect after two people shot in Orange Grove

Gulfport police are searching for a man accused of shooting two people on Sunday evening.

Chris McCloud is white, bald, approximately 5 feet 8 inches, 195 pounds, and has a “sleeve” of tattoos on both arms, police said in a press release.

He is considered armed and dangerous, Detective Jason Ducre said.

Gulfport officers responded to a report of a shooting at 6:37 p.m. Sunday after two people arrived at a hospital with gunshot wounds.

Detectives said before the shooting the two people and McCloud had an argument in the 1000 block of Shirley Drive, which is off of Klein Road near Three Rivers Road in the Orange Grove community.

He is wanted on charges of two counts of aggravated assault, and his bond was set at $300,000.
