19-year-old dies after drive-by shooting with 3 other teens, Gulfport police say
A 19-year-old has died after being involved in a drive-by shooting with three other teens, Gulfport police said.
At about 1:26 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a report of a shots fired into an occupied home on Klein Road, Detective Jason Ducre said in a press release.
While they were responding, 19-year-old Kameron Bettis arrived at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound. He was air-lifted to the University of South Alabama hospital in Mobile, where he died.
Detectives learned Bettis was involved in the shooting along with three 18-year-olds: Michael King, Demetrius Coleman Jr. and Semaj Taylor.
Police on Tuesday arrested King and Coleman on one count each of a drive-by shooting, and they arrested Taylor on one count of accessory after the fact.
