Police: Woman found dead in Popp’s Ferry home after man flags down cops, turns himself in

A woman was found dead in a Biloxi home after a man flagged down police and said he wanted to “turn himself in,” police say.

Michael Edward Reis, 43, flagged down police at 12:39 a.m. Sunday near Porter Avenue and U.S. 90, Biloxi police said in a press release.

The investigation led officers to a home in the 2200 block of Popp’s Ferry Road, where they found Jennifer Reis, 40, inside. Michael and Jennifer Reis were married. Jennifer Reis was found with a fatal gunshot wound, and an autopsy is pending.

Michael Reis was arrested on a murder charge, and Judge Albert Fountain set his bond at $1 million, the release said.
