Man charged with murder after dead woman found in Biloxi home

Biloxi police on Sunday charged a 43-year-old man with murder after a dead woman was found in a house on Popp’s Ferry Road.

Officers were flagged down by Michael Edward Reis just before 1 a.m., with Reis saying he wanted to ”turn himself in.”

An investigation led officers to a home in the 2200 block of Popp’ s Ferry Road, where a deceased female was found inside.

Reis and the female were in a relationship, police said in a press release.

The woman’s identity is not yet being released.

Police charged Reis with murder. Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain set his bond at $1 million and Reis is currently in the Harrison County jail.
