Man found shot in back of the head under Pass Christian trailer, sheriff says

A Pascagoula man has been arrested after Harrison County deputies found a main with a gunshot wound to the back of the head lying under a trailer, the sheriff said in a press release.

Kenneth Ray Patterson, 47, was arrested on charges of armed robbery and aggravated assault.

Deputies on Feb. 18 responded to a report of a gunshot victim on Elm Road in Pass Christian.

They found a man with a gunshot wound to the head, and he was taken by ambulance to Garden Park Hospital. The man was then taken by life flight to USA Medical Center in Mobile, where he has been in stable condition, the sheriff said.

Investigators determined Patterson was responsible for shooting the man during a robbery, and they got warrants for his arrest.

He was found Thursday during a traffic stop by Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department.

Patterson was taken to the Harrison County jail, and Judge Melvin Ray set a bond of $500,000.

He has a criminal record of charges involving possession and manufacture of crystal methamphetamine.
