Biloxi oil business employee sold products and kept the money, police say

David Manuel Riley Jr., 35, of Perkinston has been arrested on a charge of embezzling money from Waring Oil Co. on Shriners Boulevard in Biloxi..

A news release from the Biloxi Police Department says Riley was arrested Friday after an investigation determined he was selling items to customers and keeping the money for himself.

Police said they could not release the amount Riley is accused of embezzling because the investigation is continuing and the total could change.

The total that Riley is accused of embezzling exceeds $1,000, Maj. Christopher De Back said, so the charge is a felony.

Riley was taken to the Harrison County jail, where Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain set his bond at $35,000.
