Driver arrested after he hit 6 people outside Gulfport plasma center with van. 1 died.

Gulfport police have arrested a man in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left one dead and others seriously injured Wednesday morning.

Justin Tripp Overall, 34, was arrested on five counts of aggravated assault, one count of burglary of a residence, one count of receiving stolen property, and one count of manslaughter.

According to Harrison County records, Overall was released from jail Jan. 25 after being arrested in November on a charge of trespassing.

Police say he drove a white work van through the parking lot of CSL Plasma on U.S. 49, hitting six people.

One of the six, Doris Haskins Duckworth, 60, of Gulfport, died from her injuries at the scene.

Four victims were taken to local hospitals, and another was treated at the scene and released, according to police.

Overall allegedly left the scene in a white Ford utility van that spilled plumbing tools and supplies out of the rear as he drove away.

The van was found abandoned at the Shell gas station on Creosote Road and U.S. 49.

Tripp was arrested in the area of Creosote Road around 11 a.m., police said.

Judge Diane Ladner set Overall’s total bond at $3.75 million. He was processed and transported to the Harrison County Detention Center, police said.
