Hurley woman is the third person to die after Coast shooting, officials say
A double homicide in Moss Point in December is now a triple homicide following the death of a third victim at an Alabama hospital, authorities confirmed.
Lindsay Foster Hurr, 37, of Hurley died Jan. 5 as a result of injuries she sustained during a Dec. 22 shooting at a home on Old Slag Road. Jackson County Coroner Bruce Lynd Jr. confirmed her death Wednesday.
Two others, George Kirkland, 32, and Asia “Noonie” Norman, 19, died at the Moss Point home the same day as the shooting, police said. Hurr was in critical condition when she was hospitalized.
Hurr grew up in Pascagoula and lived in Hurley at the time of her death. She is survived by two children, her mother and other relatives, her obituary says.
Police have not yet made any arrests in the killings, though the investigation is ongoing.
According to Police Chief Brandon Ashley, Kirkland was beaten and shot to death. Police believe the killings were “not a random act of violence,” but instead believe the victims were targeted.
Hurr’s funeral is Thursday, beginning with visitation at 11 a.m. followed by the funeral service at noon at Holder-Wells Funeral Home on Main Street in Moss Point.
No other information about the killings has been released.
