7 charged after Jackson County armed robbery, shooting. They range in age from 16-28.

Five adults and one teenager arrested in Jackson County are accused in a Nov. 29 armed robbery and shooting that wounded one person, Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said in a press release.

Ocean Springs residents Jaylan Kirland, 20, Abbie Mayfield, 21, Matthew Ramsey and Aleasha McGinnis, both 18, and Kinlea Stephens, 19, and Richard Figueroa, 16, of Biloxi, were arrested Monday and Tuesday.

All six are being held in the Jackson County jail on charges of attempted armed robbery, aggravated assault and shooting into a motor vehicle.

The victim told authorities he was driving near the intersection of Shaw Street and Lemoyne Boulevard when someone fired shots at his vehicle, according to the release.

Agents with the South Mississippi Metro Enforcement initiated the six arrests after a search of the Gulf Park Estates home of Kejuan Davison, 28, led to the seizure of the gun believed to be used in the attempted armed robbery along with two other firearms, seven pounds of marijuana and about $6,000 in cash.

Davison was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana while in possession of a firearm.

Figueroa is being treated as an adult in this case, according to the release.
