A Gulfport man was allegedly robbed at gunpoint after meeting a woman he had connected with on social media at a St. Martin hotel Thursday, Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said.
Now four Alabama residents, including a 15-year-old girl, are being held at the Jackson County jail on armed robbery charges. The teen is being charged as an adult “because of the nature of the crime,” Ezell said in a release.
Ezell said the victim met the woman at the Red Roof Inn on Cook Road in St. Martin. The man said that once he was inside the room someone knocked on the door and the woman reportedly let in two men, who then attacked and robbed him, Ezell said.
According to the release, the victim told deputies he was hit in the head during the fight but escaped, running down the back stairs to the front desk to call for help.

Deputies arrived about 3:30 a.m., Ezell said, and found 24-year-old Damion Pierre Maddox and his 25-year-old brother, Darius Michael Maddox Jr., of Mobile, Alabama, inside the room.
Ezell said 27-year-old Shavonna Cierra Tunstall, of Mobile, and 15-year-old Quinecia Shanice Perryman, of Atmore, Alabama, were also in the room.
Perryman and Tunstall are being held on $100,000 bonds. The Maddox brothers are being held on $200,000 bonds.
The investigation is ongoing.
