Biloxi police hope the number 22 on this white GMC quad cab pickup truck will help identify the couple who stole a TV from a hotel room at the Flamingo Beach Inn.

A male and female who stole a 32-inch TV from a beachfront hotel room may have thought they could drive away without being noticed.

Police say they took the TV from the Flamingo Beach Inn, long known for its sign with pink flamingos. The couple drove off under the cover of darkness while surveillance cameras took pictures of their vehicle, a pickup truck with a distinctive feature.

The white GMC quad cab truck had the number 22 on the driver’s side of the front quarter panel, Maj. Christopher De Back said.

The truck could be part of a fleet owned by a business.

The hotel is just west of Travia Avenue on Beach Boulevard, also known as U.S. 90.

The couple had access to the hotel room but it was not registered to them, De Back said. The person who rented the room had invited them for a visit, he said, but investigators haven’t been able to identify them.
