Actor Jeremy London arrested in Jackson County on domestic violence charge

Actor Jeremy London was arrested Friday afternoon in Jackson County, the sheriff’s department said.

London was arrested on a charge of domestic violence simple assault, a misdemeanor.

TMZ broke the story Friday afternoon, and according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Marcia Hill, most of the information in the report is correct.

Hill said officers responded to a call around 12:23 p.m. Friday, and by 7:40 p.m. London was released from custody on a $2,500 bond.

The actor’s spokesperson told TMZ that the arrest stemmed from an incident with his wife, Juliet London, and that it was an isolated incident.

“Now it will be headed to the justice court,” Hill said.

TMZ reported this isn’t the first domestic violence charge he’s faced. In 2012, his estranged wife Melissa Cunningham said he pulled her hair and hit her on the head, but the charge was later dismissed. They divorced in 2011 and he married Juliet in 2014.

London is known for appearing in the movie “Mallrats,” “7th Heaven” and “Party of Five.”

He was also on “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” where he talked about his addiction to painkillers and the high-profile incident in 2010 when London said he was kidnapped and forced to smoke drugs at gunpoint.
