A doctor was attacked in the Singing River Hospital emergency room, officials say
Karina Booker is in custody in Jackson County on a count of aggravated assault after she reportedly attacked an Emergency Room physician at Singing River Hospital early Tuesday, officials said.
According to a release from Singing River, the physician sustained minor injuries, and was treated and released.
Singing River campus police originally responded to the attack before Pascagoula Police arrested 35-year-old Booker.
It’s not clear if Booker was a patient in the emergency room.
She was being held at the Jackson County jail on a $100,000 bond.
