Police have arrested four women and taken a man in for questioning in the fatal shooting of a 27-year-old woman at College Villa Apartments.

Taleya Guy, 27, and the four women had gone to an apartment at the complex on Ladnier Road, and Guy was shot there, Police Capt. Casey Baxter said.

Police were called to the complex near College Park Elementary about 11:47 p.m. Monday, he said. When officers arrived, they learned Guy had been taken to a vacant house on Westpark Drive, Baxter said.

Police and an ambulance went to Westpark. Guy was pronounced dead at the house, he said.

Police found several weapons and Guy, the four women and a man at the house. None of the women live in Gautier, Baxter said.

Investigators learned the five women had gone to the apartment complex together, he said.

What prompted the shooting hasn’t been released.

Police arrested each of the four women on a charge of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault.

Baxter identified them as Jasmine Anderson, 26; Phyllis Williams, 29; Lamonica Boone, 23; and Tinisha Massey, 23. Their hometowns were not immediately available.

Baxter said the shooting was not domestic-related.

The investigation continues, he said.
