Biloxi police have arrested a 55-year-old man in connection to a December burglary of a storage unit.
Eugene Joseph Lacour was arrested Jan. 26 on charges of burglary and grand larceny.
On Dec. 29, 2017, officers responded to the 2300 block of Pass Road in reference to a burglary of a storage unit. Surveillance video obtained during the course of the investigation depicted a man gaining access to the unit using bolt cutters and removing several items. Video also captured the vehicle the suspect was in as well as the tag. The investigation led to identifying Lacour as the suspect.
Lacour later was also linked to a grand larceny that occurred on the 100 block of Iberville Drive on Jan. 9.
Lacour was observed on a surveillance video from a local pawn shop selling the items just five hours after the initial incident occurred. The video also revealed Lacour driving the same vehicle as he did during the storage unit burglary.
Justice Court Albert Fountain set bond at $10,000 for grand larceny and $25,000 for burglary. Lacour was taken to Harrison County jail.
