Three people were wounded Saturday morning during a shooting at a Biloxi nightclub, police say.
Biloxi police Major Chris De Back said in a news release that three people sustained minor injuries after being shot at the Horseshoe Lounge at 143 Veterans Ave. All were taken to a local hospital.
De Back said a fight that started inside the club spilled into the parking lot. Wanya Rayon Shaquille Scott got a gun from a vehicle and opened fire toward the building where people had gathered, he said.
An armed security guard returned fire, De Back said. Scott was not injured during the shootout.
De Back said the nightclub was shut down temporarily after the shooting. He would not confirm what type of gun was used in the shooting.
Scott, 21, of Gautier, was later arrested on three counts of aggravated assault. His bond was set by Judge Albert Fountain at $300,000.
