He sent a teen boy text messages asking for sex, Gulfport police say. He’s 70 years old.
Gulfport officers arrested a 70-year-old man Thursday for asking a 16-year-old boy for sex in text messages, police say.
Police say a woman called in a complaint Friday, saying the Gulfport man “had sent text messages enticing her 16-year-old son for a sexual act.” She gave police a copy of the messages.
The man was an acquaintance of the family.
The man was arrested on a charge of enticement of a child to meet for sexual purposes.
He is held at the Harrison County jail on a $15,000 bond.
The Sun Herald does not identify those accused of a sex crime unless they are arrested on two or more felony counts.
