Police found a 24-year-old Moss Point man inside a house after someone called to report a burglar had kicked in the door, Police Chief Calvin Hutchins said.
Officers took Jarrod Abston out of the house on Gregory Street and arrested him on a charge of burglary of a residence, Hutchins said.
A neighbor called police Tuesday morning after witnessing someone busting through the door, he said.
The home is in the 6600 block in a neighborhood north of U.S. 90 between Richard and Mill streets.
Abston was being held at the Jackson County jail on a $20,000 bond set by Judge Keith Miller.
It’s unclear if Abston knows the person who lives at the home, Hutchins said.
It didn’t appear Abston had taken anything from the home when police found him, Hutchins said.
