Club Tipsy patrons say a fight broke out, then things got really bad

A Moss Point police officer was sitting Saturday night in the parking lot of Club Tipsy on Shortcut Road when he heard gunshots in the business, Chief Calvin Hutchins said in a news release Sunday.

After notifying dispatch, the officer went inside with other policemen, discovering two unidentified people who suffered gunshot wounds, Hutchins said.

The victims were taken by ambulance to Singing River Hospital, where both were treated and released. Patrons interviewed by officers said two unknown males had gotten into an argument in the club, then gunshots erupted.

Hutchins said the investigation is ongoing, and the department has suspects in the case. Hutchins asks that anyone with information about the incident contact the police department at 1-800-787-5898, or report the information anonymously on the Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers website.
