Two juveniles are in custody after stealing from cars, sheriff says
Two Jackson County juveniles are in custody after taking items from multiple unlocked vehicles Friday morning, officials said.
Sheriff Mike Ezell said the burglaries occurred in the Old Fort Bayou neighborhood in St. Martin.
Investigators said they recovered guns, money, speakers and other items.
Both juveniles are 17. Each is charged with possession of a stolen firearm and 10 counts of auto burglary.
The investigation is ongoing, but officials remind people to lock their vehicles.
