Police have arrested a man accused of holding a woman against her will and sexually assaulting her.

Thomas Lee Williams, 65, is free on bonds that total $200,000 on charges of kidnapping and sexual assault, the Hancock County jail docket shows.

Police arrested Williams on Friday after an investigation of a 45-year-old Bay woman’s allegations, Police Chief Gary Ponthieux said in a news release. A court date is set for Jan. 12.

The woman reported the crimes on Nov. 13, Ponthieux said.

Municipal Court Judge Steven Maggio set bond at $100,000 for each charge. Williams was released on bond later Friday.

It wasn’t immediately clear if the woman is someone William knows or if the alleged incident occurred at his home.
