Man wanted in shooting of 18-year-old turns himself in, Gulfport police say
A 21-year-old man wanted in connection with a shooting of a teenager has turned himself in, Gulfport police say.
Calvin Howard Jackson IV was booked into the Harrison County jail on an aggravated assault charge. His bond was set at $200,000.
Jackson is accused of shooting an 18-year-old in the neck on Sixth Avenue on Sunday, Gulfport police Sgt. Clayton Folks told the Sun Herald.
The shooting happened outside of a duplex apartment, Fulks said, and Jackson fled the scene before police arrived.
The victim’s identity has not been released and his condition is not known.
