Margaritaville employee accused of embezzling more than $30,000, police say
A hotel desk clerk at Margaritaville Resort Biloxi was arrested on an embezzlement charge, a Biloxi police official said.
Maj. Christopher De Back said Nikkie Parnell, 53, was taken into custody Tuesday.
Parnell, of Biloxi, is accused of taking more than $30,000 during her employment at Margaritaville, De Back said.
Parnell’s arrest came after the resort brought a complaint to the Biloxi Police Criminal Investigations Division.
Parnell was taken to the Harrison County jail and is held on a $50,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain.
