He assaulted a woman and then robbed her, police say
A Biloxi man was arrested on a warrant for robbery after police say he assaulted a woman and took her property.
Biloxi police investigator Nick Sonnier in a news release said Zawauntae Zacori Moore, 24, of Biloxi was arrested Friday on a warrant for robbery. Sonnier said the arrest stems from an incident that was reported Nov. 22 in the 500 block of Division Street. He said police received a report that a female had been assaulted and some personal property had been taken from her.
The investigation into the incident revealed Moore as the suspect and a warrant for robbery was issued, Sonnier said. Moore was also booked on a warrant issued by the Mississippi Department of Corrections for probation violation.
Moore was transported to the Harrison County jail where he was held on a $100,000 bond set on the robbery warrant by Judge Albert Fountain and the MDOC warrant.
