Police searching for person of interest in Moss Point shooting that injured two

The Moss Point Police Department is investigating a Thursday shooting that left two people wounded.

Moss Point Police Chief Calvin Hutchins said officers are actively seeking Brandon Kivontae Brown as a person of interest in the Thursday night shooting.

Hutchins said police responded Thursday to the area of Frederick Street and Highway 63 regarding a shooting. Officers found Donovan Kelly, 21, with a gunshot wound to his side. An unidentified 17 year old was later found with a gunshot wound to the arm.

Hutchins said both were transported to Singing River Hospital. Kelly was later airlifted to an unspecified trauma center.
