A Picayune man is on the run after burning his girlfriend alive, and officials need the public’s help to find him, a Mississippi Bureau of Investigation official said.

Jerry Glenn Willis, 43, is wanted on charges of aggravated domestic assault and kidnapping, said Warren Strain, communication director for MBI.

Law enforcement found 46-year-old Stacy Mitchell Frank about 11 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 11 in Pearl River County.

“She had been doused with gasoline, set afire and left beside the road,” Strain said. Frank was taken to a local hospital then transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center Burn Unit in Jackson.

Frank and Willis live on George Mitchell Road in Picayune, Strain said.

Authorities believe Willis may be traveling in Frank’s SUV, a black 2014 Nissan Rogue.

Willis is considered dangerous, Strain said, and anyone with information regarding Willis’ whereabouts should call 911.

Poplarville police and the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office are assisting MBI in the investigation.
