Hancock County man arrested on child exploitation charges

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office and the Waveland Police Department have arrested a man on charges of exploitation of children.

Bruce Woods, 50, was served a search warrant in the 7000 block of E. Holmes Street in Bayside, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office. He was arrested on two counts of exploitation of children and one count of possession with intent to manufacture a controlled substance.

Woods is being held in the Hancock County jail on a $150,000 bond set by Judge Lagasse.

More charges may be pending after further examinations are conducted on evidence taken from the house, the sheriff’s office said.
